Born Marktbreit, Bavaria 19th December 1864. Educated at the University of Tübingen.
Was a psychiatrist and neuropathologist and
a colleague of Emil Kraeplin. Alzheimer is credited with the first published case of “presenile dementia” which Kraeplin would
later identify as Alzheimer’s disease.
